January-February 2024 Dear Praying Friends, It has been a wonderful start to the new year here in Tampa. Souls Saved: During these first two months Lighthouse hosted two different Youth Nights. It was our privilege to have a few ministry friends who were in the area come and preach at these youth nights. In January, we had Evangelist Todd Monaghan and Evangelist Phil Clausner drive over from Orlando to preach for us. We saw two young ladies make a profession of faith that night. In February Evangelist Byron Foxx had an open date to fill while he was here in FL, and it just so happened to be our Youth Night. We saw not only a good attendance of young people, but we also saw a new University of South Florida student come as well. After the service was done, we were able to give all the kids the new Bible Truth Music Gospel coloring book. Missions Sunday: Since year one of being in Tampa we have tried to cultivate a heart for missions at Lighthouse. This year the Lord truly blessed in this area. We had Bro. Bill Fennell with Worldview Ministries (Bible Translation) as our speaker for Missions Sunday. We were able to see the highest percentage of participation in our Faith Promise commitments this year. Praise the Lord for our people catching the vision. Church Planter’s Conference in Orlando: In our last prayer letter, we mentioned something about our church van transmission going out and needing to be replaced. Thankfully, one of our supporting churches committed to helping us with covering half of this project. In the month of January, we were blessed to be a part of a church planting conference hosted by Eastland Baptist Church in Orlando. Dr. Dennis Corle (Revival Fires) moderated the meeting which truly brought the spotlight on the need for churches in Florida. During this meeting I was able to present our church plant to the preacher’s that were there and we were able to raise the remaining amount of money needed to cover the other half of the van transmission project. Thankfully, now the church van is fully fixed and running on Sunday’s once again. Ladies Conferences: I am so thankful for the opportunities that the Lord is allowing my wife to have in speaking to women. During these last few months, she has been able to speak at a Ladies Conference in Ohio and also was the keynote speaker for a ladies Conference in North Carolina where they were able to see a lady get saved.
